WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE VICE PRESIDENT

As we evolve from the old traditional methods of healing to precision medicine, science has taken leaps and bounds. Neuroscience has been a part of this mammoth change.
In our country and elsewhere in developing nations, we are striving to implement and improve our door to needle time for thrombolysis for acute stroke. Our stroke care quality has seen a palpable difference in these recent years. We have been able to offer thrombolysis at many centers. Now, with the capacity to start neurointervention in stroke care, pioneers in this subspeciality have taken a lead to make it a reality in major centers in Nepal.
In this endeavor, we are launching a platform, where neurospecialists from all walks of neuroscience to start a society called, ‘Nepal Neurointervention and stroke Society (NNISS)’ which would cater to providing education, training, quality control and outcome measures in neurointervention.
I, wish the society a great success and hope that this endeavor will bring favorable changes in stroke care and improve outcome of stroke patients.
